Summer Summary

Retirement Looks Good on 'Em!
And, it can look good on your projects too.
Here in small town Millet, we have an annual Harvest Fair-- a weekend chalk full of activities for all ages and stages. One of the main events for my kids is the bench show, which calls for submissions of everything from garden oddities and LEGO® creations to weaving and paper crafts. While my kids bagged up second cut alfalfa, canola and barley, I went to work crafting these cards using some retired products from my stash. Sometimes, retirement can look pretty good.
These cards show how even the same design can look totally different just by switching up the papers and embellishments!
This Christmas card won 1st place and $3.00 in prize money ;) It uses a current Hostess Only stamp set as well as the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. However, I had to do some fancy thinking to make it a tri-fold window rather than the intended single-fold. The paper and embellishments are REALLY old though! You'll have to have been a CTMH fan for a long time to recall them! Challenge accepted?

Blossom Scrapbooking Workshop (A Taste of What Hostess Club has to Offer!)
Join me on Saturday, August 29 and get a taste of what a Club Night looks like! We'll put together this fresh layout featuring the Blossom paper packet and D1648 Snapshot Memories in the current Seasonal Expressions. We'll create a "faux washi" effect with our stamps as well as embellish with sequins. Colours include: Lagoon, Glacier, Sorbet, Kraft and White Daisy. Cost will be $10 or just $5.00 with a $25.00 order! Class begins at 7:00 p.m.!

How it works
Each person who signs up for this club will have their
name added to the bottom of the hostess list. The person whose name is on the
top of the list will get the hostess rewards that month. In order for your name
to keep its “place” on the list, you must place a $25 minimum order whether you
attend the class that month or not. If you do not place a $25*+ order that
month, then your name goes down to the bottom of the list. If you do place a
$25+ order, then your name continues to move up the list AND you will get 50% off your kit for that class (for example, if the class is $10 that month, your
kit will only be $5)!
